CNOOC Oil Base Group (hereafter referred to as “Base Group”) was founded in December 2004. With its 3.78 billion RMB registered capital, the Base Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary to CNOOC. It is restructured and established with the combinition of CNOOC Bohai Corp., Nanhai West Corp., Nanhai East Corp., Donghai Corp. and CNOOC Enterprises Corp. in accordance with a rational division of operation, with all the corporation exploiting their our own particular advantages for mutal benifit and development. It contains ten specialized companies and five regional corporations. The restructured Base Group provides integrative and systematic support and service (including technology, equipment, human resource, logistics, communication, etc.) for oil exploration, exploitation, production, marketing, petro-gas processing, petrochemical, LNG and so on. It is one of the five largest business subordinate to CNOOC.
